Pyrolysis-catalytic steam/dry reforming of processed municipal solid waste for control of syngas H2:CO ratio

چکیده
The production of syngas from the pyrolysis-catalytic reforming processed municipal solid waste in form refuse derived fuel has been investigated experimentally using a two-stage fixed bed reactor with 10 wt% Ni–Al2O3 catalyst. gases used were combination steam and carbon dioxide (dry reforming). main focus research was to manipulate H2:CO ratio for targeted end-use applications by optimizing process conditions, including input steam/CO2 gas ratio. experimental results showed that at higher steam:CO2 ratios, there marked increase H2 yield due endothermic nature CO2 processes. catalytic temperature also had major influence on yield, increasing raising hydrogen maximum ?41.0 mmol gRDF?1 955 °C catalyst temperature. molar affected variables interdependent them. For example, an as content increased, produced ?4.7:1 achieved 75:25 700 °C. Whereas, gas, product ?1:1. Also, 50:50, ?2:1 ?3:1. Design Experiments (DoE) modelling carried out data identify conditions would produce target 1:1 2:1. predicted optimised DoE close thereby validating model.

Fe−Ni−MCM-41 Catalysts for Hydrogen-Rich Syngas Production from Waste Plastics by Pyrolysis−Catalytic Steam Reforming
A two-stage pyrolysis−catalytic steam reforming process was used with mesoporous MCM-41 supported iron and nickel bimetallic catalysts for hydrogen-rich syngas production from a simulated mixture of waste plastics. Different Fe/Ni weight ratios (00:20, 05:15, 10:10, 05:15, and 20:00) have been investigated to determine the influence on hydrogen production. The results showed that the presence o...
متن کاملEconomic Appraisal of the Rapid Catalytic Cracking Development Scheme for Municipal Solid Waste
There are a wide range of modern waste disposal systems and the costs of operating them greatly vary. The type of waste disposal system to be used is selected based on the nature of the operation, process and needs of the local community. In Iran, mixed municipal waste with significant contamination and humidity is prevalent. As a result, the most commonly used methods implemented in European a...
متن کاملSuitability assessment for handling methods of municipal solid waste
Solid waste management is challenging in Phnom Penh city, Capital of Cambodia. The only one formal treatment taken is the final disposal of mixed waste into an open dumpsite. The current study analyses the physical and chemical characteristics of municipal solid waste disposed of in the dumpsite to assess their suitable handling methods. The current study found that the major compositions of wa...
متن کاملReview on Innovative Catalytic Reforming of Natural Gas to Syngas
Decreasing supplies of high quality crude oil and increasing demand for high quality distillates have motivated the interest in converting natural gas to liquid fuels, especially with the present boom in natural gas proven reserves. Nevertheless, one major issue is the curtailment of costs incurred in producing synthesis gas from natural gas, which account for approximately 60% of the costs use...
